THE UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
GOOGLE MEET TECH TEAM
The goal of the Tech Team is to learn all we can about how Google Meet works and to develop an online programming until a time when we can resume our in-person program.
ONE: When people attend our online meetings, they will all have different computers (Mac, PC... Chrome, Firefox, Safari... desktop, laptop, tablet, cellphone...). They will all have levels of expertise. Some are complete geniuses. Some aren't so knowledgable with computers. Most are somewhere in the middle. How do we accommodate everyone regardless of their particular circumstances?
- NOTE: You do not need to be an expert computer programmer to be on the tech. team. People of all or any computer experienced are encouraged to help to develop our online capabilities.
TWO: Does Google Meet have an exact set of settings? If so, if people are attending our online meetings, we can provide them instructions for how to prepare their computers for the meeting.
THREE: Since our goal is to limit the number of people on an individual Google Meet session, it seems likely that we would schedule multiple meetings to accommodate everyone who wants to attend. For example, if we schedule a meeting for a Thursday from 6-8pm and 100 people say they want to attend, what do we need to consider so that we can hold 10 simultaneous meetings all on the same topic?
