SPRING 2020 MEETINGS, EVENTS, AND ACTIVITIES

PRIORITY 1 - FEATURED ISSUES PAGE UPDATES
Throughout the end of February, we will focus most of our attention on providing content for the Featured Issues pages of our UNA-Orlando website. This means that we will find the best information available on the Internet for all of our Featured Issues and we will use the Content Submission form to submit articles, video, and other information.

SCHEDULED IN-PERSON MEETINGS
PRIORITY 2 - FEB. 22 PLANNING AND ORGANIZING MEETING
Our next Planning and Organizing meeting is scheduled for February 22nd. The purpose of the meeting is to finalize the rough draft of our Awareness Survey and to prepare for our February 29th Public Forum.
FEB. 29 PUBLIC FORUM
Our first Public Forum of 2020 will be held on February 29th. As a followup to our previous meetings (online and in-person), we will meet on February 29th at the Herndon Library to continue our discussion on the quality of our information sources. Use the link below to learn more.
SCHEDULED ONLINE MEETINGS
In addition to our in-person meetings, we will maintain a schedule of online meetings. The purpose of online meetings is to create a virtual environment where we can engage with each other and improve our understanding of any particular issue.
This week's topics will include:
- a discussion on what is needed to update the Featured Issues pages of the UNA-Orlando website
- a discussion on what is needed to prepare for our Feb. 22 Planning and Organizing meeting and our Feb. 29 Public Forum
Throughout February, online meetings will be conducted every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our next set of online meetings will take place from 7-8pm on February 18th, 19th, and 20th. No one is expected to attend every meeting. Choose the dates that are most convenient for you.

ISSUES AWARENESS SURVEY
With "An Informed Citizenry" a theme that we will continue throughout 2020, we have already held several weeks of meetings. Based on our discussions to this point, we are developing an Awareness Survey that is intended to measure how well people around us area understand the issues.
Through February 22nd, we will work to create a rough draft of the survey. Then, after the 22nd, we will we gradually edit the survey into its final form in time for our Public Forum on Feb. 29th.
