CLIMATE CRISIS AND CLIMATE DENIAL

In the words of António Guterres (UN Secretary-General), "to care for humanity, we must care for nature." As our planet continues to evolve in regards to technology, industrialization, and innovation, we have failed to acknowledge how our actions impact the environment. It is now the 21st century and the need to move to a more sustainable action plan is more necessary than ever.  The denial of climate change by refusing to attribute evident environmental change to our adverse actions has made it increasingly difficult for governments to acknowledge the risk we are facing and to take action. Recognizing that we have had an average global temperature increase of 1°C since 1880 (according to NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies) is critical to understanding all the observable effects that climate change has had on the environment and the well-being of humans.
