UKRAINE

In 2014, with support and encouragement from Russia, Pro-Russian Ukrainian citizens began a military campaign that has killed more than 14,000 people. Many of those deaths were civilians in Crimea and the Donbass region along Ukraine's southeastern border with Russia. After 7 years of open warfare, the situation has intensified as Russia has launched an invasion that has the world's 3rd largest military crossing borders on all sides and assaulting towns and cities throughout Ukraine.
