LEBANON

Lebanon is home to a resilient 6,788,228 people from predominantly Muslim and Christian backgrounds. Coming out of a fifteen year civil war in 1990, the country was faced with a insurmountable sum of debt left from multiple culprits in previous leadership. Amid financial collapse, an explosion in Beirut on August 4th, 2020 set off a cascade of civil unrest and bottled up distrust of the governing systems. Administrative changes have been made to the Government of Lebanon as recently as September 10th, 2021, although the public is not yet satiated.
