HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
UNITED STATES

Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control." Likewise, The drastic medical advances in diagnosing disease and treating various illnesses has eliminated many health issues that were faced in the past (polio and smallpox being some prominent examples). However, there still remains many other diseases that are becoming more prevalent today in the United States. This page will explore the various health and well-being issues currently faced in the United States. For information about COVID-19, please visit the COVID analysis page located here.
