SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER IDENTITY
UNITED STATES

In 2015, the Supreme ruled in Obergefell v Hodges that same-sex marriage was legal and recognized - however, this was not the end to LGBT+ discrimination, nor was i the start of queer history. From the lack of political action during the AIDS epidemic in the 1980's to  eh current wave of anti-trans and drag bills,  for decades people have fought to have their rights recognized in which one should not be discriminated against based off sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Despite the political, religious, and cultural odds they face, the LGBT+ community hopes and fights in the name that love wins.
