2025 AGENDA

FEATURED ISSUES, CONTENT SUBMISSIONS, AND TOPIC DISCUSSIONS
The simple description of what we will be doing in the coming weeks and months is that we will be working as a team to update the pages of the Featured Issues portion of the una-orlando.org website. However, what we will really be doing is more than that.
Beyond the page updates, our true intention is to explore the Internet searching for articles and videos that address our Featured Issues. In the process of finding content that we can use to inform ourselves and others, our most important accomplishments will be: a) to improve our own ability to assess the quality of our information sources, and b) to improve our ability to lead others to quality sources of information and encourage them to inform themselves.
There is a difference between passive and active consumption of information. Passive consumption is when we do nothing and let information come to us without questioning it. Active consumption is when we dig through all of the sources, scrutinize everything, verify facts, and recognize the difference between the information sources that can be trusted and the sources that are purposely trying to trick us into believing things that aren't true.
This project has two major components. One is our ongoing content submissions project. The other is our regular schedule of meetings, events, and activities.
With the content submissions, we will largely work alone to find articles and videos on the Internet and use the Content Submissions form to share it with the rest of us. With the meetings, events, and activities, that is when we get together to share our thoughts and ideas and to listen to the thoughts and ideas of others.
